Addictions - Therapy for overcoming dependency in Nice and on the French Riviera

As an expert hypnotherapist, I'm here to guide you towards resolving the traumas that may be at the root of your addictions and to help you rediscover your inner power.

It's well known that past traumas can leave invisible scars on our psyche, often in the form of unresolved emotional pain and inner suffering. These wounds can drive us to seek quick relief, which can often take the form of addictions.

Whether it's to ease the pain, escape reality or fill an emotional void, addictions may seem like a temporary refuge, but they end up becoming chains that keep us trapped in our own suffering. But there is hope.

Hypnosis offers a route to recovery by working directly with your subconscious mind, where traumas are stored and patterns of behaviour are formed. Using hypnotic induction techniques, I can help you access this altered state of consciousness where you are more receptive to healing and transformation.

Once you are in this trance state, we can safely explore the deep roots of your traumas, identify the limiting beliefs that fuel your addictions and work to dissolve and replace them with healthier, more positive thoughts and behaviours.

Through hypnosis, you can release blocked emotions, heal past wounds and rebuild your self-esteem and self-confidence. You can learn new ways of coping with life's stresses and challenges without resorting to self-destructive behaviours.

It's important to understand that the path to recovery may be different for everyone, but with commitment and perseverance, you can overcome your addictions and regain your inner power. I'm here to support you every step of the way.

Addictions are complex disorders that can have a variety of origins, from genetic and biological factors to environmental and psychosocial influences. Here are some of the main addictions and their potential causes:

  1. Drug dependence: This addiction can result from repeated exposure to psychoactive substances such as cocaine, heroin, marijuana, etc. Risk factors include genetics, early trauma, chronic stress and the social environment.

  2. Alcohol dependence: Alcohol dependence can be influenced by genetic factors, traumatic life experiences, underlying mental disorders such as depression or anxiety, as well as social and cultural pressures.

  3. Tobacco addiction: The nicotine in tobacco can lead to physical and psychological dependence. Risk factors include early experimentation with tobacco, social influences and stress management mechanisms.

  4. Gambling addiction: This addiction may be due to genetic factors, financial problems, relationship problems, as well as mental disorders such as impulsivity disorder or depression.

  5. Addiction to video games and the Internet: Video games and excessive internet use can become addictive because of the instant gratification they offer, as well as the escape and diversion they provide. Risk factors include genetic predisposition, self-esteem problems and social adjustment difficulties.

  6. Addiction to work: This addiction can result from excessive professional pressure, a constant quest for recognition, problems with perfectionism and difficulties in establishing boundaries between work and personal life.

  7. Addiction to sugar and food: Addiction to foods high in sugar and fat can be influenced by genetic factors, damaging eating habits acquired in childhood, emotional disorders and neurobiological reward mechanisms.

  8. Sex addiction: This addiction may be linked to self-esteem disorders, past traumatic experiences, attachment disorders and neurochemical imbalances in the brain.

However, it is important to note that each individual is unique and the exact causes of an addiction can vary considerably from one person to another. Effective addiction treatment often involves a holistic approach that takes into account biological, psychological, social and environmental aspects. The key is to get to know yourself, heal the wounds of the past and understand how to put in place adapted behaviours in an environment that suits you.

Please note: Hypnotherapy, EFT and EMDR, even when practiced by a therapist, are in no way substitutes for medicine. All medical conditions must be followed up by medical and/or therapeutic professionals. Furthermore, I am not a psychiatrist. Consequently, I do not make therapeutic diagnoses, and no medication should be modified or stopped without the advice of the medical staff who prescribed it. However, I am trained in psychopathology and psychotraumatology. In other words, I'm able to detect the symptoms of the most common psychological and personality disorders. And above all, I'm able to use the tools I've developed to help you resolve the emotional distress that is the cause of these disorders.
